Job Overview
The HR Manager is a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CFO. This role is responsible for shaping and implementing HR strategies that support a growing, dynamic, and collaborative organization. The HR Manager oversees all aspects of HR, including talent development, compliance, employee relations, and recruitment while fostering a positive company culture aligned with organizational values of innovation, collaboration, and engagement.
Responsibilities
Culture & Employee Engagement:
- Develop and maintain a positive, innovative, and inclusive company culture
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and programs that strengthen workplace morale and retention
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution, employee relations, and organizational development
HR Policies & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with employment laws and regulations
- Ensure all HR practices and procedures meet legal requirements and support organizational goals
- Maintain accurate HR records and reporting for audits and compliance
Talent Development & Performance Management:
- Design and oversee performance management programs, including reviews, feedback, and goal-setting
- Develop and implement employee training and development programs to enhance workforce skills and capabilities
- Support leadership and department managers in coaching, mentoring, and professional development
Strategic Collaboration:
- Partner with leadership team to provide HR insights for strategic decision-making
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters
- Lead HR projects and initiatives that drive organizational performance and efficiency
Payroll and Benefits:
- Assist in the payroll process, procedures, and details from start to end
- Be an expert in employee benefits and assist employees in open enrollment, benefit questions, etc.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract top talent aligned with company needs and culture
- Partner with department heads to assess staffing needs and develop hiring strategies
- Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires are successfully integrated
Office Administration:
- Streamline office processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives.
- Manage office supplies, equipment and building facilities.
- Help the owner oversee the maintenance and care of three commercial buildings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior HR role with focus on employee relations, talent development, and recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- HR certification (SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office environment with frequent interaction with employees at all levels
- Fast-paced, dynamic work requiring critical thinking, leadership, and collaboration
- Occasional light lifting or movement to manage records or HR materials
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
