What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Occupational Therapist position at Interdisciplinary Center for Child Development?
ICCD is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist for our innovative special education preschool program in Bayside, NY.
The ideal candidate would be motivated to work with preschoolers in our special education school. Please have evaluation experience and previous pediatric experience.
- Knowledge of CPSE rules and regulations
- Knowledge of EasyTrac
- Knowledge of the PDMS-3
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate pediatric patients to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance childrens' functional abilities in daily living activities (ADLs).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators and other therapists, to support the children.
- Educate families on treatment strategies and home carryover.
- Document child's progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
