The position can work out of our corporate office in Vancouver, WA, Salem, OR, Las Vegas, NV or Phoenix AZ.
Position Overview
The Training Specialist, in partnership with the HR Director, will identify and monitor training needs in the organization. Training Specialists will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs to fulfill those needs.
Core Responsibilities
Performs a combination, but not necessarily all, of the following duties:
- Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions. Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
- Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in team member development efforts.
- Identifies opportunities in performance, culture, or process that training could improve.
- Reviews existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization.
- Designs, develops, and updates training materials and job aids using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other applicable software to support effective learning and standardization across the organization.
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Company’s Practice Management Software (Denticon). Provide training and best practices to users for efficient use.
- Serve as the SME for the field dental practice operational processes. Identify gaps in execution and train teams on proper process.
- Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for team members.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of new training vendors, as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED is required
- An Associate’s Degree in a related field and/or HR certification are preferred
- At least three (3) years of training experience, preferably in a multi-site, cross functional business unit
Pay Range
$70,000 - $75,000
