Summary
As a key member of the Infrastructure team, this position will serve as an active participant in the day-to-day operations and engineering of Infrastructure solutions and applications support of InterDent initiatives. Provide day-to-day operational support of various infrastructure components with a focus on clinical technologies (including, but not limited to, iTero scanners, Dexis 3800 scanners, Pano scanners, milling machines, and 3D printers). Provide high-level customer service to clinical staff. Assist or advise other teams on technical issues and assist with issues as an escalation point. Participate in migration of various solutions including documentation creation.
Essential Duties
- Ensure client requests are responded to in a timely fashion; document & report status; escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to other teams.
- Troubleshoot, resolve & document solutions related to systems, applications and backup jobs.
- Maintain hardware and software patch levels.
- Support daily operations tasks for build/move/add/change requests.
- Continually leverage opportunities to document routine tasks that can be handled by the third-party Help Desk vendor
- Other Duties as assigned by VP, Infrastructure & Security
Qualifications / Essential Skills
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- 5 years of experience supporting users in VDI or Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environment with ability to install and support software applications in a multi-user setting.
- 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure and hardware.
- Demonstrable understanding of Windows security groups and effective grasp of NTFS permissions.
- Experience successfully managing and delivering multiple projects with competing time and resource requirements
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently
- Energy, initiative, and a positive attitude
- Candidate should be fully competent in using various software tools packages such as Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Good documentation skills are a plus.
- Desire to expand responsibilities beyond initially defined job responsibilities to support emerging needs within the organization
- Advanced knowledge of all administrative, and engineering functions of MS Windows 2008, 2012,2016 and 2019 including OS/AD planning, design, development, deployment, operations, maintenance, optimization of systems, and networks
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft IIS, SQL Server 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, GPO, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, and network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ability to effectively aggregate, organize, and present information
- Pragmatic ability to balance process compliance, quality, innovation, and expedience
- Ability to be effective in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
- Works well under pressure.
- Experience with HIPPA and healthcare industry security standards.
Desirable Skills:
- Cloud Experience is desired as InterDent continues to transition to “cloud first” solutions. Cloud concepts and a proven track record of migration to the cloud is desired.
- VMware and Microsoft certifications are desirable.
- Experience with cloud-based storage and compute (AWS or Azure)
- Familiarity with URL filtering and Endpoint protection technologies.
- Meraki MX, MS and MR networking platform and practices, especially with SDWAN and Wi-Fi.
- Exchange Online Administration
- SAML and OAuth experience, i.e., Okta, Azure SSO.
- VoIP support (Cisco WebEx Calling)
- Experience with CATO SASE technologies
