Quality Systems Engineer | Advanced Manufacturing
We’re seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to join a growing, high-technology manufacturing operation supporting mission-critical products.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a quality professional who wants to play an important role in building and improving quality systems, supporting manufacturing readiness, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement within a new manufacturing environment.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to help establish processes that support consistent, scalable production.
What You’ll Do
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Support AS9100 compliance and other applicable quality requirements
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, processes, and documentation
- Support CAPA, nonconformance, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues
- Support manufacturing readiness, production implementation, and process validation activities
- Analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Help drive continuous improvement initiatives as manufacturing processes and systems mature
- Support daily production quality and help ensure processes are capable of meeting production requirements
- Work with cross-functional and international teams to maintain consistent quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Quality Systems within a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience working within a formal QMS in a regulated environment such as AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or IATF 16949
- Experience with CAPA, nonconformance, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Experience developing or improving quality processes, procedures, and documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and technical documentation skills
- Ability to analyze quality data and identify process or product improvement opportunities
- Experience working with ERP/MRP or quality management systems
Preferred Experience
- Direct AS9100 experience
- Aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or other highly regulated manufacturing experience
- Experience with new manufacturing launches, greenfield operations, or production ramp-ups
- Supplier Quality or Internal Auditing experience
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
- Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings
- Experience with 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, or other structured problem-solving methodologies
- Experience with configuration management, change control, or quality risk assessment
- Experience working with international engineering or manufacturing organizations
