Position Overview
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing high-quality service to existing clients while managing and growing a commercial insurance book of business. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, supporting policy servicing activities, and identifying opportunities to expand coverage solutions that meet client needs. The position plays a key role in ensuring client satisfaction, retention, and long-term account growth.
Work Arrangement

Key Responsibilities
- Manage renewal processes including remarketing, reviewing policies, and requoting accounts while maintaining accurate documentation within the agency management system.
- Process and collect insured payables, including coordinating and managing premium finance agreements.
- Maintain and update client account information including coverage details, policy changes, and premium adjustments.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships by recommending additional insurance products and coverage options.
- Review and process policy endorsements, changes, and cancellations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process certificates of insurance and mortgagee updates as requested.
- Review underwriting correspondence and coordinate with carriers to resolve outstanding issues.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, carriers, and internal team members to ensure service expectations are met.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in account management, client service, insurance servicing, or a related role.
- Active Property and Casualty insurance license required (state specific).
- Experience within the insurance industry, particularly commercial lines, is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, underwriting practices, and policy servicing procedures.
- Strong client relationship management and customer service skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with agency management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
Salary : $55,000
