The Branch Sales Manager is responsible for driving the overall performance of the branch, with full ownership of sales growth, operations, and profitability (P&L). This role leads a cross-functional team and ensures the successful execution of sales strategies, operational processes, and customer engagement initiatives.
You will play a key role in developing talent, strengthening customer relationships, and positioning the branch for sustained growth in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Financial Leadership
- Own and manage branch P&L, driving revenue growth and profitability
- Develop and execute local sales strategies aligned with company goals
- Analyze market trends, customer data, and competitive activity to inform decisions
Sales & Customer Growth
- Lead from the front by modeling strong sales execution and customer engagement
- Expand existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Drive growth across contractor and dealer channels
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing branch team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Provide ongoing training to elevate both sales and operational capabilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily branch operations including inventory, shipping/receiving, and sourcing
- Ensure operational efficiency and alignment with company standards
- Leverage internal systems and technology to optimize performance
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in customer service and team leadership
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and deliver results
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze data and make sound business decisions
Preferred:
- Prior P&L responsibility in a branch or retail/distribution environment
- Experience in HVAC distribution or working with contractors
- Background in wholesale, B2B sales, or supply chain environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sales/inventory management systems
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Experience managing in a B2B distribution or wholesale environment is a plus
