Inter-State Studio & Publishing Co. is looking for a Technical Support Representative to join our team in Sedalia, MO!

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Support Representative to join our IT department. This role is essential in providing quality technical support to our end users, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the company.
What you’ll be doing:
- Technical Support: Provide phone, email, chat, and in-person support for software and hardware issues. Maintain hardware inventory and manage repairs and replacements.
- Customer Relations: Create positive relationships with customers, follow through on commitments, and provide clear, friendly, and professional guidance.
- Team Collaboration: Train and mentor team members on proprietary knowledge and special skills. Work collaboratively to support and appreciate team efforts.
- Communication: Document all customer contacts using support ticket software, detailing issues, steps taken, and resolutions. Share knowledge about technology updates and trends with the team.
- Problem Solving: Use creative questioning to fully understand customer issues and determine the best solutions. Recommend software enhancements and seek ways to improve tech support operations.
- Project Management: Complete assigned projects within scope and time allocated. Communicate progress and any roadblocks to project leaders and supervisors.
- Technology Updates: Stay informed on industry and technology trends. Maintain and augment knowledge of current and upcoming technology used by the field.
What we need from you:
- 2-year degree in a technical-related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 1 year in IT Tech Support preferred.
- Comfortable using Windows computers and common business applications such as web browsers, email, file explorer, and PDFs.
- Basic understanding of troubleshooting connectivity issues (checking Wi-Fi vs. wired connections, restarting equipment, verifying cables).
- Able to type accurately while speaking with customers, documenting issues and steps taken in real time.
- Strong written communication skills, including creating clear and accurate updates in a ticketing system.
- Comfortable managing multiple tabs, windows, and software tools simultaneously while troubleshooting.
- Able to follow written technical instructions and navigate system settings or menus to resolve issues.
