What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deskside Support position at Inter-Prompt Global (IP Global)?

We are looking for a Field Services Support Engineer who is responsible for providing end-to-end support for desktop systems, endpoint devices, and IT infrastructure to ensure high system availability and performance aligned with business requirements.


Contract duration: 2 years (likely to extend)

Work window: 4x5 (4 hours/day & 5 days/week)

Location: Alpharetta GA, USA


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, and endpoint devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, peripherals, and software.
  • Deliver hands & feet support for hardware, software, and network activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Manage and update support tickets with progress and resolution details.
  • Set up and test desktop peripherals like monitors, printers, and accessories.
  • Execute system changes as per organizational policies.
  • Conduct remote troubleshooting using standard tools.
  • Maintain technical documentation and coordinate with IT teams.
  • Handling Onboarding, Offboarding, Laptop upgrade, Laptop replacement tickets in ServiceNow.
  • Creating shipping label for both Onboarding and Offboarding, To drop laptop in UPS to user.


Technical Skills


Hardware & Networking

  • Identify IT assets and endpoint devices.
  • Install and configure desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and connectivity problems.


Windows Operating Systems

  • Install and troubleshoot Windows OS (7/10/11).
  • Manage application installations and domain configurations.
  • Perform disk management and system monitoring.


Exchange & Mobility

  • Configure and troubleshoot email clients.
  • Resolve connectivity and synchronization issues.


Printer Management

  • Troubleshoot printers and coordinate with vendors.


Backup & Recovery

  • Understand backup tools and resolve backup issues.


Audio-Visual Support

  • Support AV and conferencing systems.


Endpoint Security

  • Install antivirus and apply patches as required.
