As a Heavy Equipment Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintain equipment used in the production of animal feed. You will ensure that the production process runs smoothly and efficiently, while adhering to safety and quality standards. This role is essential in ensuring the timely and efficient production of high-quality feed and feed ingredients for animals and fowl.

This is a direct hire, this means `You' will be a direct employee of the company with a starting hourly rate of pay of $24.00 per hour. Enjoy a 3 day weekend!

Schedule for the Heavy Equipment Operator is Sunday through Thursday from 11:00pm to 7:00am.

Responsibilities for the Heavy Equipment Operator:

• Keep dryer running as efficiently as possible, this includes start up, monitor, and adjusts the operation of drying system.
• Operates end loader, forklift, and dump truck to load and unload trucks and rail cars.
• Perform minor repairs and assist maintenance with major repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on valves, gauges, electrical wiring, motors, and belts, and report any major problems.
• Maintain daily recordings and charts.
• Adhere to safe work practices and anticipate or remedy any problems to ensure the highest quality and optimize the facility's efficiency.
• Keep the facility clean and safe taking into account all state and federal laws and regulations in all operations of the plant.
• Performs other duties including performing all processes in accordance with all Standard Operating Procedures, including operations of bagging, stacking, pulling samples, and warehousing of bulk product.

Requirements for the Heavy Equipment Operator:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience operating a front-end loader, forklift and other equipment (skid-steer) to move and load product weighing up to 3, 000 pounds.
• Ability to operate and maintain production equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety and quality standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Problem solving skills to troubleshoot production issues.
• Must have ability to lift at least 50 pounds, must have the ability to climb ladders and work at heights and enter and exit heavy equipment.
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
• Experience in feed, grain or supplement processing or manufacturing is preferred.
