Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Delivery & Platform Ownership
- Lead the full software development lifecycle across multiple applications and services, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support
- Own both “build” and “run” responsibilities for business-critical platforms, ensuring stability, performance, and reliability
- Drive platform resiliency efforts including vulnerability management, root-cause analysis, problem management, and continuous service improvement
- Champion a secure SDLC by ensuring high code quality, security scanning and remediation, secure configurations, and compliance in partnership with security and risk teams
- Participate in change and risk governance processes, ensuring audit-ready documentation and adherence to controls
- Modernize and maintain applications by reducing technical debt, improving code coverage, managing dependency hygiene, and executing structured refactoring plans
- Design scalable and resilient solutions using modular architectures, APIs, microservices, event-driven patterns, caching strategies, data integrations, and performance tuning
- Implement and enhance DevOps practices including CI/CD automation, environment provisioning, release management, and rollback strategies
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies (unit, integration, performance)
- Implement observability solutions including logging, metrics, and tracing, and leverage feature flagging for safe deployments
- Partner closely with product owners, operations, business stakeholders, and peer engineering teams to prioritize and deliver outcomes
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship, contributing to a high-performing and inclusive engineering culture
- 10 years of experience in software engineering with significant ownership of production systems
- Proven experience supporting both development and operational aspects of business-critical applications
- Strong full-stack engineering background, including:
- Backend: Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python
- Frontend: Modern frameworks such as Angular
- Experience with API design, microservices, event-driven architectures, data integration, and messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, MQ)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and containerization (AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes, Docker) or private cloud equivalents
- Strong experience with DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and observability practices
- Solid understanding of application security, secrets management, IAM, and vulnerability management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Exposure to AI/ML-enabled features, data pipelines, or analytics platforms
- Experience with modern data and analytics tooling, including:
- Snowflake
- Airflow for workflow orchestration
- dbt for modular analytics pipelines, including CI/CD, testing, and documentation
