- Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies including:
- DWDM, T1/OTN
- IPv4 & IPv6
- TCP (internals & flow control)
- BGP, OSPF
- HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP
- TACACS, IPSEC, VPNs
- NetFlow, DNS, HTTP
- Ability to read and understand code
- Troubleshooting experience with IP routing and switching
- Coding experience
- 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Networking and optical engineering experience
- Background in large-scale network deployment environments
- Strong foundation in both optical and IP networking technologies
