Our global biopharmaceutical client is seeking a Materials & Logistics Associate to support shipping, receiving, inventory management, and facility operations within a laboratory environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate handling, tracking, and distribution of materials, supplies, and specimens. This is a first shift role, 7:00am-3:30pm M-F with OT every other Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Perform shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment
  • Accurately document incoming shipments, reconcile against packing lists, and maintain inventory logs
  • Troubleshoot and support resolution of inbound and outbound shipment delays
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring proper control, security, and accountability
  • Prepare outgoing shipments and maintain detailed shipping records
  • Utilize computer systems and internal tools for tracking, communication, and administrative tasks
  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including proper use of required PPE (lab coats, gloves, face shields, etc.)
  • Safely handle biohazardous materials in accordance with established procedures
  • Support facility upkeep, including laboratory spaces, grounds, and general maintenance tasks
  • Complete assigned facility maintenance activities and documentation using internal systems
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and confidentiality requirements
  • Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds as part of daily responsibilities
  • Perform additional duties as needed
  • Fast-paced setting with frequent interruptions
  • Regular walking, standing, bending, and occasional squatting
  • Frequent use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous materials, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens
  • Collaboration with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure operational efficiency

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete routine documentation
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems
  • Prior experience in material handling, logistics, or facility maintenance

Note: Forklift certification is not required for this role.
