What are the responsibilities and job description for the DOCSIS Engineer position at IntePros?
IntePros is looking for a DOCSIS Engineer to join our Telecommunications client in Englewood, CO. The DOCSIS Engineer troubleshoots and resolves escalated Access and CPE device field issues. Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps. Establishes security, connectivity and access parameters. Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure. Tests and tunes security devices and systems. Programs routers and switches. Implements communications technologies (data or voice). Manages network services from planning phase through implementation.
Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required.

Advanced knowledge of the DOCSIS and EPON standards
Working knowledge of CMTS platforms including:
Casa C100G
Arris E6000
Cisco cBR8
RPHY
Harmonic vCMTS and RPDs
Working knowledge of EPON platforms including:
ADTRAN 95XX and SDX-6210
Vecima (Nokia) 7360 and Distributed Access Architecture SF-4x, SC-2D3
Working knowledge of switch platforms including:
Cisco NCS/ASR
Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX
Working knowledge of routing protocols including:
OSPF
ISIS
BGP
v4/v6 Multicast
Ability to write technical documentation
