This role is critical in optimizing control systems, enhancing automation capabilities, supporting production, and leading capital project execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) projects, ensuring delivery on cost, schedule, and performance commitments
- Identify and implement control system optimization opportunities to improve production efficiency, reliability, and uptime
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance plant control systems, including network health, controller performance, and obsolescence planning
- Develop and support SCADA, HMI, MES, and data reporting/dashboard solutions to drive operational visibility and performance improvements
- Coach and train maintenance teams on automation systems, controls, and electrical best practices
- Manage and oversee external contractors supporting electrical and engineering initiatives
- Establish and maintain standards related to electrical systems, automation, and controls
- Partner with plant leadership to ensure compliance with food safety and quality programs, including auditing procedures and driving corrective actions
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and maintain a competitive edge
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of experience in:
- Electrical control system programming
- Electrical system design and power distribution
- Project management and equipment installations
- Strong experience with SCADA systems, preferably the Ignition platform (Vision and Perspective)
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA70E, and core electrical principles
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues, develop practical solutions, and execute through completion
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with automation programming, scripting, and database integration
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
- Experience developing flowcharts, construction drawings, or similar technical documentation
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment
- Willingness to support operations during non-standard hours as needed (nights, weekends, holidays)
