TITLE: Asst. Shift Supervisor
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To assist operators in set - ups and change over and operation of the Converting paper lines. Read and understand Production orders and forms. Assist in monitoring quality responsible for good housekeeping. Available for overtime. Duties assigned by dept. Assistant Manager / Plant Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred and one year or more of college is preferred.
- Minimum four or more years of experience in manufacture industry.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Report directly to Production Assistant Manager / Plant Manager.
- Adhere to plant safety rules and company policies.
- Maintain records of all employees on shift: attendance, vacation, etc.
- Perform reviews of shift personnel.
- Communicate housekeeping assignments to personnel in production area.
- Maintain quality of product through knowledge and understanding off all Quality procedures.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of all Standard Operating Procedure and duties within the department.
- Maintain a high degree of knowledge and comply with SQFand all related duties, assignments, and area of concern within the department.
- Maintain a high degree of knowledge and adhere to the department budget as outlined.
- Maintain knowledge of production goals and communicate them to personnel.
- Fill in during absence of Assistant Manager.
- Possess good communication skills.
- Able to conduct safety meetings.
- Work overtime as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Inside and outside environments apply
- Manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
- Subject to noise
