What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook/Barista Full Time position at Intentional Hospitality Catering?
This is a unique cook position as you will be doing some barista duties as well as manning the hot line in some cases. You must be versed in both well and be efficient. Cooking experience is more important as we can train coffee knowledge. This is a one cook kitchen so efficiency and speed are valuable to ensure we are meeting our proper time standards. Being a dual role, interacting with guests is a very important part of the job. We are looking for someone who cares a ton about what they do to ensure all standards are met or exceeded with a positive mental attitude.
PAY: $18-21/hour
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 3 year experience in a professional kitchen
- Experience with recipe execution
- Can follow directives and instructions
- Is open to feedback
- Working knowledge of common weights and recipe measurements
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, neatly both independently and with a team
- Skilled in multi-tasking, organization and time management skills
- Has solid knife skills
- Broad-based knowledge of techniques, cooking styles and cuisines
- Is comfortable speaking with guests and soliciting feedback on food
- Guest interaction is a MUST! If you do not have social skills, this is not for you.
- Strong knowledge of health codes are important and necessary.
- Must have a serve safe manager certificate or be willing to get one.
