POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Sales Associate supports the company’s growth by identifying new opportunities, building authentic relationships with prospective customers, and helping move opportunities through the early stages of the sales process. Responsibilities include lead generation, outreach (including cold calls), coordinating conversations and demonstrations, and ensuring thoughtful follow-through with potential clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Generation & Outreach
- Identify potential customers and organizations through research, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Conduct proactive outreach through phone, email, and professional networking channels, including cold calling.
- Collaborate with an external sales development partner and internal sales leadership.
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings or product demonstrations with senior sales and/or product staff and maintain accurate and organized records of outreach activity.
Relationship Building
- Build genuine relationships by understanding the goals, challenges, and priorities of each client.
- Partner closely with the company’s sales leaders and external sales team to ensure smooth handoffs, coordinated outreach, and thoughtful follow-up with prospective clients.
Curiosity & Product Understanding
- Demonstrate curiosity about our products, clients, and industry.
- Continuously develop knowledge of the company’s offerings and the client challenges they address.
Events & Industry Engagement
- Represent the company at conferences, conventions, trade shows, and networking events.
Pipeline Support
- Track and manage early-stage sales opportunities.
- Coordinate meetings, demonstrations, and follow-up communications.
- Provide updates on lead generation activity and pipeline progress.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and effectively use new software solutions.
- Comfort initiating conversations and building rapport with new people.
- Strong organizational skills and reliable follow-through.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for events or conferences.
