Job Title: Software Engineer (C#, Unity)
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 6‑month contract to start (with potential extensions)
We are seeking a Software Engineer to support advanced AR/VR and next‑generation hardware initiatives. This role is focused on rapid software prototyping, interactive demonstrations, and user study setups that help influence future product direction. You will work closely with imaging, display, perceptual, and hardware teams in a highly collaborative, hands‑on environment.
This is a prototyping‑heavy role where speed, experimentation, and technical curiosity are critical. Not all work is production‑bound, but it plays an important role in shaping long‑term product strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Build interactive prototypes and demonstrations using Unity and C#
- Develop software to support imaging and display pipeline experiments
- Set up and support live demos and user studies, including displays, lighting, calibration, and lab environments
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including imaging, perceptual science, and hardware engineering
- Rapidly prototype concepts to explore new ideas and validate technical approaches
- Debug, iterate, and refine prototypes based on user feedback and experimental results
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with Unity and C# development
- Experience using Python and/or MATLAB for prototyping, analysis, or experimentation
- Solid understanding of imaging or display pipelines, such as image processing, color, tone mapping, or graphics
- Comfortable working in a lab environment, including hands‑on setup of hardware, displays, and calibration workflows
- Familiarity with C/C , or interest in working closer to lower‑level systems
Preferred Background:
- Experience in AR/VR, displays, or consumer hardware
- Exposure to mobile devices, wearables, or display technologies
- Experience supporting demos, research prototypes, or experimental systems
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in fast‑moving, exploratory environments
Salary : $80 - $100
