Role Overview:
We are looking for a Board Bring-Up & Design Validation (DVT) Engineer to support hardware validation and debugging for complex PCB designs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in board bring-up, high-speed interfaces, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Board Bring-Up & Debug
- Lead first power-on, early bring-up, and stabilization of complex boards
- Validate power sequencing, voltage rails, clocks, resets, and boot paths
- Debug board-level issues using schematics, layout, datasheets, and lab tools
- Perform root cause analysis for power, signal integrity, thermal, and functional issues
DVT (Design Validation Testing)
- Develop and execute DVT test plans (functional, electrical, performance, stress)
- Validate high-speed interfaces: PCIe Gen4/Gen5, Ethernet, SerDes, DDR/LPDDR, optical modules, OAM
- Perform corner testing (voltage, temperature, frequency, load)
- Track and resolve hardware issues through DVT lifecycle
System & Firmware Collaboration
- Partner with Firmware, BIOS, BMC, and Driver teams during bring-up
- Support FPGA/SoC configuration, boot flow, and debug (JTAG, UART, I2C, SPI)
- Assist in automation of test/bring-up scripts (Python, Shell, lab tools)
Required Skills
- Strong experience in board bring-up and hardware debugging
- Hands-on with high-speed interfaces and signal validation
- Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc.)
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
