Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate exceptional skills in various nursing disciplines. This role involves working closely with patients to provide high-quality care, support, and education while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Duties

  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document medical histories.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in discharge planning and follow-up care coordination.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, or home care is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Skills in pain management, triage, acute care, hospice care, or emergency medicine are advantageous.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS may be beneficial.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
