Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide basic medical care under the supervision of nursing staff, including catheter care and medication administration.
- Support patients with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist in the transportation of patients within the facility as needed.
Skills
- Experience with EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred.
- Familiarity with critical care environments and long-term care settings is beneficial.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and HIPAA regulations is essential.
- Previous experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) techniques and aseptic techniques is required.
- Ability to provide compassionate care in various settings including hospice care, memory care, and acute care environments.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient service and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Pay: Up to $30.00 per hour
