**Job Summary
**
This leadership role is crucial for setting the strategic direction and managing the growth and P&L site, which involves managing customer relationships, day to day business operations and multi-year production contracts. The role involves influencing senior leadership on new concepts and practices, recommending and implementing strategies, and developing operational plans to achieve short-to-long-term business goals. Additionally, the Director will build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and industry partners. Advanced management and leadership skills, broad business knowledge, strong financial acumen, and extensive experience across related disciplines are required.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
**
Manage P&L, accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of the site portfolio; to include site infrastructure, major defense procurements and bids
Lead and oversee the Program Management function of the business and adjust strategic direction and processes to achieve year-over-year growth.
Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
Ensure compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations, working with export officials.
Drive organizational objectives: financial performance, on-time delivery, quality management, and safety.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the site; with the ability to establish a culture of trust, open communication, data driven decision making, customer focus and relentless continuous improvement.
Champion and lead communication and employee engagement activities.
Define and execute staffing and capital plans for current and future programs.
Promote EH&S excellence and safety culture.
Provide technical direction and leadership to direct reports.
Oversee IR&D efforts to align research spending with future market needs.
25% travel may be required to support proposal activity and project execution.

Proficient with contract terms and conditions and subcontract management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong drive and resilience.
Action and result oriented
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
**EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
**
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience within DoD environments with increasing levels of responsibility, including experience successfully managing various projects.
10 years’ experience directly owning program(s) P&L and growth.
10 years’ people leadership experience.
10 years’ experience in strategy development.
