Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and ledger adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks for data entry and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting projects to support organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, ADP, Ceridian, Kronos, UltiPro, Workday or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of GAAP standards and experience with technical accounting practices.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail; proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and 10-key typing is essential.
- Ability to perform account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and account reconciliation efficiently.
- Excellent math skills combined with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
- Experience working in public accounting or non-profit accounting environments is a plus.
