Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Location: Garden City, Idaho
Full-Time | Day Shift | Year-Round Work With On-Call Work Requirement
About Us:
We are a well-established union, commercial HVAC contractor, offering steady, long-term work with competitive pay and full benefits. We're seeking experienced HVAC service technicians or advanced apprentices (3rd or 4th year) to join our growing team.
What You'll Do:
- Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, VAVs, boilers, chillers, hydronic heating systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control issues
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and service manuals
- Document work completed and communicate clearly with clients
- Adhere to all jobsite and company safety procedures
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
What We're Looking For:
- 3–5 years of commercial HVAC service experience OR 3rd/4th year apprentice
- EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Familiarity with:
- Chillers, hydronic heating, boilers (preferred)
- Building automation systems (a plus)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on rooftops/in mechanical spaces
