IntelliGenesis is hiring a Cybersecurity Solutions Consultant, Business Development to be the client facing business development professional focused on acquiring new customers for CYBERSPAN®, our enterprise and defense grade Network Detection and Response platform. You will prospect into SMBs and MSSPs, run discovery, lead customer conversations, and deliver product demos and proofs of value, bringing in a developer for deeper technical dives when needed. You will capture field feedback and draft clear requests for product review. You will operate against weekly KPIs and activity targets. This role reports to the Head of GTM and Revenue, who owns GTM strategy, pricing, marketing, and channel design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and build pipeline via cold outreach, social, events, and referrals. Hit weekly meeting and activity goals
- Qualify leads, run discovery, and map problems to CYBERSPAN® outcomes in plain language
- Deliver standard talk tracks and handle core objections for business and technical audiences
- Deliver product demos and proofs of value, bringing in a developer for deeper technical dives when needed
- Capture technical questions and integration needs. Draft concise product requests for monthly review
- Keep the CRM current: contacts, notes, stages, next steps, and forecast accuracy
- Follow up on inbound leads and support webinars, trade shows, and partner events to create meetings
- Support channel design by surfacing partner needs, enabling basic partner asks, honoring rules of engagement, and coordinating opportunity tracking for partner-involved deals from submission to close
- Maintain a weekly cadence: outreach blocks, meetings set, follow up SLAs, and brief win loss notes
- Share competitive insights and customer stories from the field
- Present product requests in the roadmap review and close the loop with customers on accepted or deferred items
- Travel as needed for customers and events
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to commute to the Columbia, MD office
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Technical fluency to discuss common security tools and how NDR relates to EDR, XDR, and SIEM
- Comfortable with high volume outreach and live customer conversations
- Strong written notes and summaries that translate technical details into clear asks
- Organized, coachable, and accountable to activity and pipeline KPIs
- Familiarity with HubSpot or CRMs and basic sales workflows
- Experience teaching analysts or explaining security concepts to non-experts
- Exposure to MSSP operations or SOC workflows
- CompTIA Security or similar certification
- Prior BD or SDR experience in B2B tech
Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000
