Role: Network Technician
Location: Milpitas, CA--Onsite
Skills: LAN/WAN/WLAN, switching/routing, IP telephony/PBX, network monitoring, structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6), troubleshooting.
Job Summary:
The Network Technician will install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain data, voice, and video communication systems, along with supporting the network cabling infrastructure across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain LAN/WLAN equipment (switches, routers, controllers, access points).
- Support telecom systems, network cabling, and infrastructure documentation.
- Coordinate and perform cabling installations (Cat5e/Cat6) and repairs.
- Maintain network closets (IDF/MDF) and inventory of networking hardware.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues with IT support teams.
- Ensure network security and adherence to IT policies.
- Provide backup support for telecom operations.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or relevant technical experience.
- 4 years of LAN/WAN/WLAN networking experience.
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, structured cabling, and IP telephony/PBX.
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting.
- CCNA or Network preferred.
