Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Device

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing productivity, efficiency, and operational performance through process analysis, work measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role supports production operations by conducting time studies, optimizing workflows, analyzing manufacturing processes, interpreting engineering drawings, and implementing data-driven process improvements to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct time and motion studies to establish labor standards and improve production efficiency.
• Analyze manufacturing workflows, material movement, and equipment utilization to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and maintain standard work instructions and production methods.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to support manufacturing activities.
• Support capacity planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation initiatives.
• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
• Collect, analyze, and report production performance metrics and process data.
• Create workflow diagrams, process maps, layouts, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to implement process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost reduction.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering experience.
• Experience conducting time studies, work measurement, and productivity analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and process optimization.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical schematics.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of statistical process analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments.
