Seeking a Cost Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in product costing, should-cost analysis, and manufacturing processes. The role will support Engineering and Procurement teams by developing cost models, identifying cost-reduction opportunities, and driving Design-to-Cost initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop should-cost models and cost targets for mechanical and electrical components.
- Apply DFM/DFA and VA/VE methodologies to optimize product costs.
- Perform cost analysis using CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and schematics.
- Conduct benchmarking, teardown studies, and supplier cost analysis.
- Support supplier negotiations with detailed cost reports.
- Track product costs and present savings opportunities to management.
Required Skills
- Should-Cost Analysis & Product Costing
- DFM/DFA, VA/VE, Target Costing
- aPriori, BDI, or similar costing tools
- Casting, Stamping, Machining, Injection Molding, Extrusion, PCBA
- BOM & Engineering Drawing Interpretation
- Creo / 3D CAD
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
