Job Description:
The Reliability Development Test Engineer is responsible for validating vehicle systems and sub-systems to ensure they meet strength, durability, and reliability targets while exceeding customer expectations. The role involves planning and executing reliability tests and simulations, analyzing engineering data, supporting root cause investigations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable product performance throughout the automotive development lifecycle.
Key Skills
- Reliability testing, validation, and durability analysis for vehicle systems and sub-systems.
- Engineering data analysis, root cause analysis, countermeasure development, and technical documentation.
- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, 3D CAD (CATIA/SolidWorks), data acquisition software, and FEA tools including Abaqus, Nastran, HyperMesh, ANSA, META, and LS-DYNA.
- Scripting using Java, Python, or MATLAB with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Required Qualifications
- Experience planning, preparing, coordinating, and supporting reliability tests and simulations.
- Ability to produce and analyze engineering data using established tools, methods, and formats while working independently.
- Experience preparing technical documentation and presenting complex engineering information to technical leadership.
- Ability to validate test setups, execute test plans, and coordinate engineering activities across multiple teams.
