MBD Controls Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and verify control algorithms for Carrier Rooftop NPD and sustaining programs.
- Develop and refine algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Create and execute unit and integration testing.
- Perform model-based analysis involving:
- Heat transfer
- Two-phase flow
- Thermodynamic cycles
- Non-linear system dynamics
- System identification
- Controllability, stability, robustness, and optimization
- Perform model-based verification & validation using MATLAB, Simulink, and FMI Toolbox.
- Support laboratory testing, analyze test results, debug control issues, and improve plant models and algorithms.
Required/Preferred Skills:
- MBD (Model-Based Design)

Education & Experience:
- Master’s or PhD preferred
- 15 years of experience preferred
- Strong background in HVAC controls and control algorithm development is highly desirable.

The strongest profile would be a Senior/Lead Controls Engineer with 15 years of experience in HVAC/thermal systems, strong MATLAB/Simulink MBD, and hands-on experience developing, testing, and debugging control algorithms.
Salary : $70 - $72
