Production Supervisor
for our food manufacturing client to start immediately at up to $85k/annually DOE Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire
Responsibilities:
The
Production Supervisor
will oversee all daily manufacturing operations, ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and safe production of high-quality food products. This role requires leadership to manage production teams, maintain quality and safety standards, and drive continuous process improvements.
- Operational Leadership
: Lead and coordinate all production activities, aligning operations with company objectives and policies. - Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Implement and enforce quality standards, including HACCP guidelines, to achieve quality excellence. - Process Optimization:
Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), optimizing resource utilization through effective planning and organization. - Planning & Cost Control:
Develop production timelines, estimate costs, manage budgets, and monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effective operations. - Team Management & Development:
Supervise, train, mentor, and motivate production teams, conducting performance evaluations and fostering professional growth. - Efficiency & Scheduling:
Monitor production processes, make necessary schedule adjustments, and troubleshoot issues to maintain peak efficiency and meet deadlines. - Continuous Improvement:
Drive and support change management processes and implement best practices to foster continuous improvement initiatives. - Documentation & Communication:
Oversee accurate record-keeping and documentation, and serve as the key liaison between the production floor and office staff. - Equipment Management:
Participate in recommendations and implementation for new equipment purchases to support operational enhancements
Location:
Oak Forest, IL
Schedule/Shift Details:
Monday-Friday, 6AM-2:30PM
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED or equivalent required
- 2-3 Years in a supervisor role within food manufacturing required
- Hands-on familiarity with GMP, SQF, and FSMA standards
- HACCP certification preferred
- Ability to life up to 50lbs
