The Senior ERP / IT Systems Engineer is responsible for managing and advancing the company’s core business systems, with a focus on ERP administration, integrations, reporting, and infrastructure reliability.
This individual will be a key technical leader, working across operations, accounting, field management, and executive teams to ensure our systems meet business needs and scale with growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the administration, customization, and optimization of the ERP system (e.g., Viewpoint Spectrum or other construction ERP platforms).
- Design and implement integrations between ERP, construction management tools, timekeeping, estimating, and reporting systems.
- Develop dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision making for field and office operations.
- Act as primary technical liaison between IT, accounting, operations, and third-party vendors.
- Manage user access, permissions, and workflows across platforms with a strong focus on security and compliance.
- Coordinate IT infrastructure upgrades including server, networking, and cloud solutions to ensure business continuity and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving ERP modules, integrations, or system performance.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on ERP functionality and IT best practices.
- Identify opportunities for system automation and process improvement.
- Ensure data integrity, backups, and disaster recovery planning for mission-critical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in ERP systems administration or engineering, preferably within the construction industry.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Viewpoint Spectrum.
- Strong understanding of database systems (SQL), API integrations, and business analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with construction field technology.
- Working knowledge of IT infrastructure including servers, networking, Active Directory, and cloud environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams (Bilingual is a plus)
- Project management experience and ability to lead ERP-related initiatives end-to-end.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and a proactive, service-oriented approach.
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred.
