Job Summary The successful candidate will be responsible for customer service particularly regarding backend customer support. Primary Responsibilities: Assumes responsibility for agent support. Provides customer service to agents via phone, email and in person as necessary. Follows up on Service Requests (SRs) as needed to track and handle agent issues. Communicates with carriers to resolve agent issues. Provides full circle customer service to verify agent issues are properly and thoroughly addressed. Researches agents’ statuses with carriers. Navigates reports in Microsoft Excel Assists in updating RAMS with certification/onboarding report information. Assist agents with ordering supplies. Assumes responsibility for various cross-training assignments. Assists with processing contracting and licensing as necessary. Assists with additional agent support as necessary. Assists with New Business when necessary Assumes responsibility for training new hires, temporary employees, and cross-training current staff as needed. Assumes responsibility for miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor. Primary Skills & Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic understanding of insurance and agent relationship is preferred. Intermediate-level working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. One year customer service experience / data entry experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Good communication skills, especially over the phone. Ability to multitask. Good computer and typing skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to operate related computer applications and other business equipment including email, copy machine, scanner, fax machine, and telephone. Positive attitude, ability to take directions, and ability to work well with others. The general pay scale for this open position is between $17-$18 per hour. Pay for a selected candidate will be determined within the pay scale based on one or more of the following factors: candidate’s experience, skill set, education level, and/or location.
