What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Specialist position at Integrity Express Logistics?
Your primary duty will be to generate customer invoices and submit to the customer. Responsibilities also include assisting in the day to functions as they relate to IEL billing and broker support. You will work with our Logistic Account Executives to release loads to bill customers. Team members are to ensure all broker and customer requests are handled in a professional and timely manner. This position is a member of the Accounting Department and reports to the AR Manager.

Position Description (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)
- Generate customer invoice with pertaining documents and submit via mail, email, or portal to customer.
- Review load paperwork for quality and completeness & ensure load information accurately reflects any accessorial charges submitted.
- Sort processed carrier invoices into released, unreleased, and quick pay stacks.
- Compile lists of unreleased loads to be emailed to the brokers for release.
- Review paperwork for shortages/damages and alert the broker
- Answer various carrier, customer, and broker requests for documents
- Provide Customer service with phones, emails and in person contact internally
- Adaptability with working in multiple software programs and to move with ease between systems
- Handle additional responsibilities as needed
Basic (Required)
- Strong Microsoft skills, including Excel and Outlook
- Detail oriented
- Ability to gather and interpret data, compile information, and prepare reports
- 1 year of billing or accounting experience.
- Logistics industry experience
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus
