Position Overview:

The Skilled Construction Service Technician performs a wide range of construction service and repair tasks, supporting ongoing service calls, investigations, and small project work. This role requires strong trade knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to execute repairs efficiently while working in active and often occupied environments. The technician works under the direction of a Lead Service Technician or Supervisor while contributing technical expertise and field support.

Role & Responsibilities:

Project Service & Repair Execution

  • Perform construction service and repair work including framing, drywall, siding, trim, doors, windows, decking, and minor roofing repairs.
  • Support exterior and interior repair scopes related to maintenance, restoration, and investigative openings.
  • Assist with identifying causes of damage, material failure, or water intrusion and perform corrective repairs.
  • Complete repair tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship standards.

Field Operations & Quality

  • Review work scopes, photos, and site conditions prior to and during service visits.
  • Follow repair plans and adapt methods as needed based on site conditions.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet company standards and applicable codes.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas upon job completion.

Safety & Equipment

  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
  • Maintain company tools, materials, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.

Communication & Documentation

  • Communicate professionally with customers, property managers, and team members while on site.
  • Accurately complete service documentation including tickets, daily logs, and photo records.
  • Provide field feedback to supervisors to support continuous improvement and job planning.

Education/qualifications:

  • 5 years related experience performing construction service, repair, or maintenance work.
  • Working knowledge of framing, drywall, siding, trim, doors, windows, and basic exterior systems.
  • Ability to work independently and follow direction from supervisors.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and durability of repairs.
  • Safety‑focused with experience following jobsite safety standards.
  • Comfortable working in occupied homes and active job sites.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a field environment.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass a drug test
