Senior Software Test Engineer (Contract – Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months
Pay Rate: $55–$60/hour

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to support the delivery of Schneider Electric’s Eco Structure platform products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with System Test teams, Component teams, TechOps, and Architects to ensure high-quality software delivery across the full digital ecosystem.
You will play a key role in building and enhancing automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of enterprise-level applications within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Python and Pytest
- Own and enhance the automation testing framework to improve scalability and capability
- Create and execute detailed test plans and automated test cases for platform validation
- Perform full-stack integration testing within CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects
- Conduct performance, stress, and scalability testing using automation tools
- Track, analyze, and manage defects through resolution
- Ensure adherence to QA best practices within Agile development cycles
- Support continuous improvement of testing processes and automation strategies
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 8 years of experience in test automation for integration, performance, and scalability testing
- 6 years of hands-on experience with Python and Pytest
- Strong knowledge of software QA principles, practices, and testing methodologies
- Experience with REST API testing
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development environments
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Strong understanding of Linux and Windows environments
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to stay current with evolving technologies and QA practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Dynatrace for monitoring and performance analysis
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation
- Experience using Postman for API testing
- Experience testing Kafka-based systems (producers and consumers)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools and approaches
