Job Summary
We are seeking a Security Operations Specialist / SOC Analyst to support physical security operations at the Washington DC area. The ideal candidate will have experience in security operations, law enforcement dispatch, or SOC environments, with hands-on knowledge of video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and incident management systems. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a 24/7 operational environment with rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support enterprise physical security systems including Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
- Respond to and document security incidents, alarms, and operational issues.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for physical security platforms and field-related issues.
- Support daily security operations and incident management activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and operational logs.
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and administration of security systems when required.
- Collaborate with internal teams, security personnel, and law enforcement agencies as needed.
- Participate in projects related to physical security operations and system improvements.
- Proactively identify security risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced 24/7 operational environment with rotating shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in:
- Security Operations Center (SOC)
- Security operations
- Law enforcement dispatch
- Emergency response environments
- Experience with:
- Video Surveillance Systems (VSS)
- Access Control Systems (ACS)
- Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Incident management platforms
- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in the Washington DC
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24x7 operational environment.
