i3 is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Endurance Uncrewed Aircraft Systems Product Office. This position requires an understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation, requirements development, logistics engineering, supply chain management, production, training, and lifecycle management activities supporting aviation or weapon systems.
The Systems Engineer will support oversight across the full product lifecycle, including requirements development and traceability, system design, integration, testing, deployment, training, fielding, sustainment, and lifecycle support of hardware and software material. The candidate will provide technical and programmatic support to help solve challenges, perform engineering analysis of components and system designs, evaluate courses of action, and recommend practical paths forward.
This role includes coordination with government, contractors, and stakeholder teams to support hardware and software applications, ground control systems, supply chain and logistics considerations, Original Equipment Manufacturer developments, and New Equipment Training/New Equipment Fielding activities across the program lifecycle.
The role requires strong communication skills, including the ability to support technical and programmatic briefings, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple organizations. - Support engineering analysis of system components, designs, documentation, and technical data.
- Assist with development, review, and traceability of system and subsystem requirements.
- Support hardware and software integration activities, including ground control system coordination.
- Support logistics engineering, supply chain, production, sustainment, and lifecycle management activities.
- Assist with developmental and operational test planning, execution, and documentation.
- Support training, fielding, and New Equipment Training/New Equipment Fielding activities.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, OEMs, and cross-functional teams.
- Help identify technical, logistics, and programmatic challenges and support practical recommendations for resolution.
- Prepare and deliver technical and programmatic briefings as required.
- Use general guidance to help develop direction, communicate priorities, and support team execution.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts that increase software, systems, logistics, and program efficiency.
- Work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic government program office environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Six (6) or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with four or more years of relevant experience.
- Two (2) or more years of experience supporting aviation products or aviation-related systems.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, technical documentation, requirements, logistics, production, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to derive user requirements and communicate them clearly to prime contractors and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability for accurate and complete work products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and task management skills.
- Ability to analyze information, apply sound judgment, and recommend practical solutions.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

- Experience supporting systems or subsystem requirements development.
- Experience with systems and software integration.
- Experience supporting logistics engineering, supply chain management, production, sustainment, or lifecycle management activities.
- Experience supporting developmental testing, operational test planning, or test execution.
- Experience supporting training activities for large-scale aviation, weapon, or mission systems.
- Understanding of New Equipment Training/New Equipment Fielding principles.
- Experience working in or supporting a government acquisition, aviation, logistics, or product office environment.
- Familiarity with uncrewed aircraft systems, aviation platforms, weapon systems, or related mission systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information in discussions, documents, and briefings.
