The Engineering Intern supports the organization in an area related to the student’s current area of graduate or undergraduate engineering study. Learns skills related to their degree while also supporting departments across the organization with engineering tasks. Work is performed under immediate supervision and provides a real-world application of classroom knowledge. Examples of Engineering internships include but are not limited to Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, and Systems Engineering roles. This position is for the Summer 2026 Term and will be an onsite position in Huntsville, AL.

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level degree program in relevant area (mechanical, aerospace, electrical manufacturing, and engineering technology, etc.) at an accredited college/university at the time of the internship (Summer 2026 or Fall 2026).
- Required minimum GPA is 3.0.
- 0-5 years of relevant experience.
- Community and/or campus involvement is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Desired Knowledge and/or experience in the use of CAD software including Solid Works, Inventor, and/or Creo.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the use of FEA software such as ABAQUS or ANSYS.
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
- Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully.
- Interact with a diverse array of customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work with supervision and have accountability for accurate and complete results.
- Be extremely organized and exceptionally detail oriented.

- Regular i3 hours are 800 a.m. - 500 p.m. Monday-Friday, however, additional hours may be required on occasion. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
