What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Integrated Wellness Solutions?
Assists in the operation of the facility pharmacy; maintains drug and supply inventory and inventory records; orders supplies to maintain level of stock; checks goods received against purchase orders, invoices, and requisitions; segregates, labels, and stores pharmaceutical supplies; reviews pharmacy stock for expired drugs; picks up and delivers drugs; cleans equipment, shelves, and work areas; operates packaging machinery for unit dose or prepackaged dispensing system; types labels for medications and delivers to pharmacist for affixing; retrieves designated drug containers; maintains patient medication profiles; maintains records of prepackaged drugs; prepares unit dose cassettes for review by pharmacist; fills medication drawers with prescribed doses; aids pharmacist in preparation of prescriptions; and does other service and technical pharmacy work which does not require licensure.
1. Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications
2. Maintaining records by recording and filing the prescriptions and orders of Physicians
3. Sorting, stocking and labeling medications and monitoring inventory
4. Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist
5. Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces
6. Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete
7. Undertaking administrative tasks such as record-keeping as assigned by a Physician or facility manager from time to time.
8. Adhere to Integrated Wellness Solutions policies and procedures to enhance the operation of the healthcare unit.

High school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two (2) years’ experience
Correctional experience a plus
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Possession of a valid certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician issued by the State Board of Pharmacy set forth in Section 4115 and 4202 of the Business and Professions Code.
