Laptop Technician

ITS has a client located in Midtown Manhattan area seeking an on-site Laptop Technician. This is a contract role with the possibility of extension and/or placement on another jobsite.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Prior IT support or laptop technician experience (2 years preferred).
• Familiarity with AV technologies, systems, and environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow update protocols.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to safety and site requirements.
• Strong technical ability to maneuver, troubleshoot, and service laptops.
• Proven experience updating firmware on laptops.
• Prior experience working within the Audio-Visual industry, with brand and site familiarity.
• Hands-on support experience in the AV space.
• Valid SST & OSHA 30 certifications required to access the job site.
• Must have full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to enter the job site.
  
  

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Laptop Technician to support a project in the Audio Visual (AV) space. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with laptops, updating firmware/software, and supporting AV technology in field environments. This role requires strict compliance with safety requirements and the ability to navigate job sites professionally.

• Perform scheduled firmware and software updates on laptops.
• Manage and execute updates for Client monitors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve laptop-related technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines and technical standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed updates and service actions.
• Work collaboratively with onsite teams to ensure smooth operations within the AV environment.
