We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior / Lead Audio-Visual Field Installation Technician to join one of our client's teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in A/V system installation and integration, solid networking knowledge, and proven experience leading installation teams on job sites. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can take ownership of projects in the field, lead crews, coordinate with other trades, and execute both standard and highly complex A/V systems. In addition to technical execution, this position plays a key role in developing junior technicians through structured, hands-on training and leadership in the field. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to bring their own basic hand tools.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on-site A/V installations and supervise installation teams to ensure quality, eiciency, and
- Take an active leadership role in developing team members by providing structured, hands-on jobsite
- Set expectations for workmanship, organization, and jobsite professionalism, and lead by example
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual systems including displays, projectors, speakers,
- Execute installation of advanced systems including DSP platforms (QSC, Biamp), control systems
- Install, terminate, label, and test cabling including CAT5/6, fiber, coax, speaker wire, and audio cabling
- Build and wire equipment racks to professional standards
- Install and assist with alignment and commissioning of direct-view LED video walls
- Assist with on-site system configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Conduct site surveys and provide feedback for system design and project planning
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and other trades to ensure successful project
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex A/V and network-related issues both on-site and remotely
- Provide client training and system demonstrations upon project completion
- Maintain accurate documentation including installation records, redlines, and service reports
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and job site best practices
- 5-8 years of experience in A/V installation and system integration
- Proven experience leading crews and mentoring junior technicians in the field
- Strong knowledge of A/V systems including audio, video, control, and signal flow
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as QSC, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, and similar systems
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including IP addressing, VLANs, and PoE
- Mechanical aptitude and strong understanding of construction site practices
- Proficiency in cable installation, termination, and rack fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must bring and maintain basic personal hand tools
- Must be willing to achieve and maintain industry-standard certifications
- Manufacturer certifications (Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, etc.)
- Experience with AV-over-IP and networked A/V systems
- Familiarity with enterprise video conferencing platforms (Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, etc.)
- Experience working in large venues such as theaters, stadiums, or courtrooms
- OSHA certification or other safety training
- Experience with remote monitoring and management of A/V systems
