Our company focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of qualified retirement plans. These plans are individually tailored for closely held businesses, and we provide comprehensive consultation and actuarial services in one integrated company. Our practice is growing, and we are looking to hire a Retirement Plan and ERISA Consultant so we can continue to service our clients at the level they have come to expect.
We are known in the region for developing creative retirement plan designs and programs for non- publicly traded corporate clients. The Retirement Plan and ERISA Consultant is responsible for performing a variety of administrative and analytical functions associated with the implementation and administration of defined benefit plans, including Cash Balance Pension Plans and traditional DB Plans, as well as defined contribution plans, including Profit-Sharing Plans, 401(k) Plans, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs).
During your employment with our company, you will become familiar with the IRS and Department of Labor filings, which are required in our qualified retirement plans, and guide the creation and maintenance of these plans. *We are not a Law Firm; however, this position is ideally filled by a lawyer with ERISA experience.
Duties will include:
- ERISA Compliance, including preparation of Plan documents and other supporting materials.
- Prepare and coordinate the filing of various government applications and forms.
- Conduct research as needed.
- Preparation of various reports and analytics.
- Prepare correspondence and documents for transmittal to clients and government agencies.
- Communicate and coordinate with the clients and other advisors.
- Communicate with internal managers to identify and address potential issues associated with Plan documents and/or reporting.
- Attend annual conferences and continuing legal education classes, as needed, to stay current in legal requirements.
