Job Title: Sr. ServiceNow Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA 30332 (Remote)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension after 6/30/27)

Position Overview:
Under broad supervision, designs, codes, tests, modifies and debugs computer software.
Position Summary
The ServiceNow Developer Senior will serve as a senior technical contributor responsible for the design, development, and support of enterprise ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities. This role partners closely with product owners, service managers, and other technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions aligned with institutional priorities. The position requires deep platform expertise, sound architectural judgment, and the ability to mentor other developers while ensuring adherence to platform standards, governance, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience in enterprise or large-scale environments
• 3 years building and supporting custom applications using App Engine Studio
• 3 years working within Agile or sprint-based delivery models

Preferred Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred

Preferred Certifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• ITIL® 4 Foundation (or equivalent ITSM experience)

Preferred Skills

• Strong experience with server-side scripting, including Script Includes, Business Rules, and Scripted REST APIs
• Advanced proficiency with Glide Record, query optimization, and transactional logic
• Experience with Flow Designer, including reusable actions, sub flows, and orchestration patterns
• Solid understanding of ACL design, role hierarchy, and access evaluation order
• Experience designing and supporting Configurable Workspace and UI Builder-based experiences
• Familiarity with Platform Analytics, including indicators, breakdowns, and dashboards
• Experience with REST-based integrations and data exchange using JSON
• Strong documentation skills, including technical design notes and implementation guidance

Specialized Skills Required

• App Engine & Custom Application Development: Design and build upgrade-safe, maintainable applications using App Engine Studio, Productd applications, and platform APIs.
• Workspace & UI Configuration: Develop role-aware, task-focused user experiences using Configurable Workspace, UI Policies, Client Scripts, and UI Builder.
• Integration & Automation: Implement and support inbound and outbound integrations using Scripted REST APIs and Integration Hub patterns where applicable.
• Platform Governance & Standards: Apply platform guardrails, naming conventions, access controls, and architectural best practices to ensure long-term platform health.
• Agile Delivery & Collaboration: Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and change review processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Provide guidance to mid-level developers and delegated developers, reviewing code and promoting consistent development standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications and enhancements across multiple environments
• Partner with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Maintain and enhance existing applications with a focus on stability, performance, and upgrade compatibility
• Review and approve development work to ensure adherence to platform standards and security requirements
• Support platform upgrades and resolve development-related issues introduced by new releases
• Contribute to platform documentation, architectural decisions, and operational runbooks
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and implementing long-term corrective solutions
• Participate in change review and release governance processes
