Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Tele
Location: Neptune, NJ
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3 x 12, Every Other Weekend Required, 3/6 Holidays Required, No On-Call Requirement, Float Requirement: Comparable units, Scrub Color: Navy blue
Pay Range: $50/HR to $55/HR ON W2
Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
- Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develops, implements, and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
- Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manages care of patients.
- Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience working in a MS/Tele unit in a major acute care hospital setting required.
- Must have a strong MS/Tele background.
- Patient assessment, medication administration, infection prevention, clinical procedures (e.g., wound care, IV therapy, Foley insertion), HAI prevention, regulatory compliance, Epic use, EHR management.
- Communication and active listening, critical thinking, teamwork and collaboration, time management, adaptability and flexibility.
Certifications & Licenses:
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- NIHSS.
- Telemetry.
- BLS-AHA.
- CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours.
Salary : $50 - $55
