Contract: 3 Months (with Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Shift Length: 12 hours
Hours Guarantee: 36 hours/week
Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend

Deliver professional nursing care in compliance with the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards and Michigan state regulations. Apply the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Uphold ethical, culturally competent, and evidence-based nursing practices while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within:
- 5 years of hire date (for hires on or after May 1, 2020)
- 7 years of hire date (for hires between Jan 1, 2017 and Apr 30, 2020)
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient with computer hardware and software related to nursing practice.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license - State of Michigan (required upon hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association or American Red Cross (within 90 days of hire)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (within 180 days of hire)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) - (within 90 days of hire)
- Specialty certifications (preferred, if applicable)
- Provide evidence-based nursing care aligned with interdisciplinary care plans and regulatory standards.
- Advocate for patients and families while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Deliver patient/family education and support discharge planning.
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Lead care coordination and delegate appropriately to unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Engage in professional development, peer review, and quality improvement activities.
- Participate actively in safety and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
