Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Partum
Location: Bakersfield, CA – 93306
Duration: 3 Months (Possibilities of Extension)

Shift: Nights | 3x12 | 36 hrs/week
Pay Local: $60/hr - $70/hr - W2
Pay Travel: $2,400 - $2,900/ Gross weekly

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts patient assessments and documents data in accordance with hospital standards.
• Identifies physiological and psychosocial risk factors and escalates variances appropriately.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Prioritizes and executes nursing interventions based on clinical judgment and assessment findings.
• Manages rapidly changing clinical situations and initiates emergency protocols when necessary.
• Coordinates patient care with physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ensures compliance with infection control, medication administration, and controlled substance regulations.
• Participates in staff meetings, professional development, and shared governance activities.
• Maintains all competencies, mandatory trainings, and department-required education.
• Adheres to all hospital policies, RN scope of practice, and professional ethical standards.
• Monitors personal practice and supports team adherence to safety and compliance measures.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
• Experience using Cerner EMR.
• Valid & unrestricted California RN License.
• NRP (Advanced) required.
• AHA BLS & ACLS – active and current.
