What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Coordinator position at Integrated Pain Management Medical Group, Inc.?
The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for processing and maintaining the data and patient records at Boomerang Healthcare's clinic efficiently, accurately, and within HIPAA guidelines.
What you will do
- Calling outside offices to maintain medical records
- Scan an upload NP packets into IMS
- Scan and upload incoming records via mail
- Calling hospitals/labs to maintain medical records
- Responding to patient Medical Records requests
- Uploading dictation to Ace/IMS
- Respond to all patient inquires (return patient voicemails and emails) in a timely and professional manner
- Follows HIPAA guidelines when processing medical records releases
- Maintains patient confidentiality, in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be organized, thorough, and detail oriented.
- Experience working within HIPAA guidelines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, .PDF, and Adobe programs.
- A minimum of one-year administrative Medical office experience preferred.
Compensation Range:
$21.00 to $23.00 Hourly
All compensation ranges are posted based on internal equity, job requirements, experience, and geographical locations.
