Job Description

Who We Are:

Integrated Medical Systems, Inc. (IMS), founded in 1994, is one of the nation's top distributors within the alternate site market.  We strive to continually exceed expectations by cultivating valued partnerships and delivering on our commitment to always put our customers first. We offer flexible rental and purchase options for a vast line of disposable and rental products specific to infusion, respiratory, enteral feeding, oncology, and cleanroom.

People at IMS are innovative, dedicated, and experienced to enhance our customer’s experience from start to finish. By joining us, not only will you be working alongside industry experts and thought leaders, but also with a company recognized for its dedication to employee growth and well-being.

What We’re Looking For:

As our dedicated Director of Information Technology, you will own the technology infrastructure, systems strategy, and digital operations that power our business. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will translate business needs into reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions while building and mentoring a high-performing IT team.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set strategy and also roll up your sleeves when it matters. You will be the company’s primary technology authority — advising the executive team, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring our systems keep pace with rapid growth.

What You Bring to the Table:

Required
  • 8 years of progressive IT experience, including 3 years in a leadership or management role

  • Proven track record managing IT for a company with 100–300 employees and $50M in revenue

  • Strong background in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications

  • Experience owning and managing an IT budget

  • Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain technical talent

  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical executives and stakeholders

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Relevant certifications: CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent

  • Experience supporting a PE-backed or high-growth company through a scaling phase

  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, or HIPAA

  • Experience with ERP implementations (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and execute a 3-year IT roadmap aligned to company growth and business objectives

  • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and department heads to identify technology opportunities and risks

  • Build and manage an annual IT budget of approximately $3 million, including capital and operating expenditures

  • Report IT performance, risk posture, and project status to senior leadership as needed

Infrastructure & Operations
  • Oversee all infrastructure:

  • Migration to a multi-cloud environment (Azure/AWS)

  • maintaining and sunsetting on-premises systems,

  • Networking, and end-user computing

  • Ensure 99.9% uptime for mission-critical systems through proactive monitoring, redundancy, and incident response planning

  • Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and execution

  • Manage the company’s Google Workspace environment and collaboration tools

Cybersecurity & Compliance
  • Own and revamp the information security program including policies, controls, vulnerability management, and security awareness training

  • Maintain compliance with relevant frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or equivalent) as applicable to the business

  • Lead incident response efforts and conduct regular tabletop exercises

  • Manage identity and access management (IAM), SSO, and zero-trust initiatives

Enterprise Applications & Data
  • Oversee the ERP (Epicor P21), CRM (Hubspot), HRIS (HiBob/ADP), and other core business systems; manage integrations and data flows between platforms

  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Sales on system selection, implementation, and ongoing optimization

  • Champion a data-driven culture by ensuring clean, accessible, and reliable business data

  • Evaluate and drive adoption of AI and automation tools that create measurable business value

Team & Vendor Management
  • Hire, develop, and retain a team across help desk, infrastructure, application development, and security functions

  • Set clear goals, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews

  • Manage relationships with MSPs, SaaS vendors, and technology consultants; negotiate contracts and SLAs

  • Establish IT service management (ITSM) processes and a ticketing system to deliver consistent, high-quality support

Job Benefits

  • Paid time off

  • 401(k) w/ matching

  • Dental insurance

  • Health insurance with 100% of premiums covered by IMS employees

  • Vision insurance

  • Employee Wellness Program through Revive Health
